Shiny new SIA A330′s are heading to Adelaide this year!
After flying Internationally with QANTAS into Asia in 2005 and being extremely disappointed with the quality of their cabin, the aircraft (an old B767) and available entertainment, last year in 2008 I decided to try Singapore Airlines. In January I flew with Singapore Airlines to the Philippines and Singapore. I was lucky enough to score a sector on the shiny new A380 (9V-SKA) from Sydney to Singapore.

Are you in Sydney on Australia Day? If so, be outside! It’s highly likely you’ll get your photo taken for Google Maps!
Google Australia has organised to have an aircraft fly around part of Sydney during Australia day, taking aerial photographs of people enjoying the day.
You can find out more information, including, when the aircraft is likely to be in your area, on the information page on the Google website. Check it out here

In an attempt to make this WordPress template a little less ‘default’ (not that it isn’t good, I just wanted to make it ‘different’), I’ve decided to replace the default orange swirly glassy effect image with some photos of my own.

No commentsCool Weather Graphs
Adam, one of my work colleagues, has some really nifty weather and climate related graphs on his website. The data is parsed from information on the Australian Bureau of Meterology website, and extends back for up to 2 years. Which makes it really handy for seeing changes in seasons, trends and averages of temperature, rainfall, etc.
Check out the graphs here: http://www.bugman.cx/weather/
Also, on the topic of the Bureau of Meterology, if you haven’t already discovered, they make available on their website a significant amount of climate and weather information, including Rain/Precipitation Radar, this is my favourite feature of the BoM site.
